Here are some key dates to add to your business calendar:

1st - 31st July - Ice Cream Month #IceCreamMonth

1st - 23rd July - Tour De France 2023 #TourDeFrance

The annual cycling event where cyclists complete a 21-stage course primarily held in France but passing through neighbouring countries.

Ways to observe:

  • Host a cycle to work scheme for employees.
  • Host a French themed party.
  • Explore cycle routes in your city.


3rd - 16th July - Wimbledon #Wimbledon2023

One of the four major Grand Slam knockout tournaments in tennis, and the only major one to be played on grass. It is based in South West London.

  • Tennis attire for a fancy dress event.
  • Strawberries and cream at the office.
  • Tennis themed snacks and baked goods.
  • Screen the games in the office.

9th July - British Grand Prix

A Grand Prix motor race based in the UK as part of a round in the Formula One World Championship series.

  • Suggest an out of office celebration & screening of the series.
  • A team sweepstake on the results.

17th July - World Emoji Day

A globally celebrated holiday in celebration of fathers and father figures.


Ways to observe:

  • A post detailing your employees’ favourite emojis to use.
  • Office games where you can only communicate in emojis.
  • Office movie night to watch ‘The Emoji Movie’ 
  • Recreating emojis in real life.

20th July - 20th Aug - FIFA Women’s World Cup #FIFAWWC

An international women’s football competition held every 4 years, where qualifying nations compete against each other in a bid to become world champions.

Ways to observe:

  • Decorate the office with flags of participating countries.
  • Casual dress where employees can wear their international team’s shirt.
  • Stream the game at lunch.
  • Host a table football tournament in the office.

30th July - International Friendship Day #FriendshipDay

International Friendship Day is an observance that seeks to promote the role of friendship across cultures.
