Twitter has started the rollout of its long-awaited Tweet editing feature. 

Currently available to Twitter Blue subscribers in Canada, New Zealand and Australia, the feature allows users to amend Tweets up to 30-minutes after sharing them, with a limit of 5 edits during that period. Tweets will then display an ‘edited’ icon, so users are aware that the Tweet has been changed. 

Although this new feature may stray from Twitter’s original vision, it is a long awaited feature that we think will be a useful addition to the platform. It will be especially valuable to companies or anyone in the public eye who use it, as it will enable them to do minor edits such as fixing typos, right through to rephrasing or rewording posts.
