Twitter Could Ban Links to Other Social Media Platforms
Twitter recently announced that they will be banning the ‘free promotion of certain social media platforms on Twitter.’ So far, the platforms in question include Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr and Post - meaning users may no longer be able to include links to these platforms in their Tweets or in their profile bios.
Although this is currently under debate via a poll started by the Twitter Safety account, this isn’t great news for content creators looking to leverage their audience and share messaging between different platforms.
