Twitter is launching its new spam and abuse filter for direct messages. A new filter in its ongoing battle against bullies and trolls, it provides users with a new view in the ‘Additional Messages’ inbox. Now, messages that may contain offensive content are flagged, and have their previews hidden – with the option to delete without reading.
It’s a useful feature for people and brands who want to keep their Twitter messages open, but don’t want to see abusive content. For brands, business accounts and celebrities in PR crisis mode, it could provide some welcome relief!
