2024 in Review - Sustainability

We’ve been busier than ever with sustainability in 2024, reflecting the growing trend for businesses to adopt sustainable practices. This year, we covered more territory than ever before: from launching (sustainable) space brands to ground-breaking palm oil coverage, here are our 2024 highlights!

Client Highlights

Our branding team was busy this year! Firstly we jetted into space (not literally, sadly) as we worked on a new intergalactic ‘top secret space brand.’ From the cosmic logo to stellar tag lines, we created the brand from start to finish. Watch out for its appearance in the first half of next year as we join the space race!

Staying in the branding world, we were back on terra firma as we took Harlow Printing into the 21st Century with their rebrand as Harlow Solutions. The full rework included logos, fonts, colour palettes and TOV brand guidelines, helping position the ‘little red book’ creators as an indispensable cross-industry partner.

Meanwhile, our work with Axiom Sustainability Software reached new heights, as we doubled their social media outreach via a dedicated campaign while securing over a dozen features and interviews for their cutting-edge sustainability software, positioning them as thought leaders in their sector.

Edible oil giant KTC had a huge year as they honed in on their sustainability work, especially across their palm oil division. We delivered a dozen features and articles for them, creating infographics, videos, artwork and branding that saw them nominated for prestigious industry awards.

Staying in the palm oil world, our global campaign for the launch of the world’s first carbon-neutral palm oil from DAABON was picked up by national, international and specialist publications, showcasing that palm oil - when grown right - can be a force for good!

We also turned up the heat - pun intended - for Clarke Controls and their marketing campaign for their energy management systems and heating controls. We got their impressive Wickes campaign into the wider media via our marketing and case study campaign, while we also redeveloped their website’s content and design.

Lastly, we created an in-depth blogging series on the sustainability benefits of Momentive’s advanced silicone products for the construction industry, covering cool roofs, restoration over replacement, improving energy efficiency, and extending the lifespan of buildings worldwide.

Big wins

It’s always nice to get recognised for our work - and even better when that recognition takes place in Bangkok! Our work with KTC was nominated for an award at the Round Table on Palm 2024 conference, and while sadly we didn’t win - well-deserved congratulations to Chester Zoo! - our week in Thailand included visits to palm tree plantations, fascinating talks and meetings with some like-minded sustainability thought-leaders.

2024 was also the year we went all in on podcasts, launching the Sustainability Commodities podcast. Since our debut in March, we’ve released ten episodes, covering everything from the EU Deforestation Regulation, the plight of orangutans, the importance of satellite data and lots more. Stay tuned for more insightful discussion in 2025!

Our PR division went into overdrive over the summer as our work for SBUK - sustainably sourced garden rooms - hit the sweet spot, with key print and online placements in national, local and specialist media.

Blog roll

In between all that work, we found time to blog about, well, pretty much everything. We discussed Aldi’s cardboard wine bottle, why the second coming of Trump might not spell the end of sustainability, the rise of the green Olympics, the perils of greenwashing, and much more!

Thanks to everyone we’ve worked with this year, here’s to an even bigger and better (and more sustainable!) 2025!
