Instagram has recently announced that Reels, which initially only allowed 30 second uploads, will now permit up to 60 seconds.
They’ve been testing this feature for some time with select users, but have now made it available to all. TikTok and YouTube have set a trend by increasing the length of video content, so it was an obvious move for Instagram to follow suit.
The new feature also allows users who post across all platforms to easily cross-post to Reels without having to re-edit videos. This should see more content being posted on Reels, which will ultimately benefit Instagram.
