Instagram is rolling out a "Trial" feature for Reels, designed to help creators try new ideas without worrying about losing their audience.
Trial Reels are shown to a selected audience during the trial phase and do not appear on the creator’s profile grid or Reels tab.
Creators can view engagement metrics, like views and shares, 24 hours after posting and compare them to previous trials. If a trial performs well, creators can share it with their entire audience or set Instagram to do so automatically if early results are promising. Alternatively, they can discard underperforming Reels.
