Meta's response to Elon Musk's Twitter, Threads (previously known as Barcelona), launched on July 5th after appearing in app stores.

The 'text-based conversation' Threads app links to Instagram accounts with existing contacts and possesses Twitter-like features with functionalities including posts of up to 500 characters, embedded links, photos, and 5-minute videos. 

Twitters recently imposed limitations, such as non-paying viewers experiencing a 600-tweet-per-day viewing restriction (later extended to 1,000) has proven to be a prime opportunity for Threads launch. 

Threads accumulated 30 million users within the first 24 hours, overtaking ChatGPT as the fastest-growing platform of all time! Creators should now look to establish a presence on Threads to remain visible to Twitter defectors.
