YouTube is set to launch a new range of ‘TikTok-like features’ to YouTube Shorts. These will include a ‘Collab’ feature (similar to TikTok’s ‘Duet’ feature), interactive Q&A stickers, and a new vertical live streaming format.
Although many of these features closely resemble those of TikTok, the expansion of Shorts features is understandable, considering the growing popularity of short-form video. We think it is important for creators to take advantage of these latest features to encourage engagement, which has the potential to increase traffic to YouTube users’ channels and long-form video content.
